Ron Holm is a Minnesota native and a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Business.

His first position was with a Basic Four mini-computer distributor as an accounting software trainer/programmer. He later joined Open Systems, an accounting software publisher in Minneapolis, and for the next four years worked in their tech support, product development and sales and marketing groups.

In 1986 while in marketing he was responsible for developing and delivering a sales training program to hundreds of accounting professionals and software Value-Added Resellers across the country to help them more effectively sell their software and professional services. That program was based on the Track Selling System™ from Max Sacks International. During that process, Ron attended the three-day Max Sacks International workshop and then field-tested the principles of track selling for the accounting software sales cycle.

Over a period of several weeks, he met with 23 accounting software prospects. The results were dynamite - of the 23, one bought a competitor's product, another did not make a decision, and 21 bought the Open Systems product.

Ron later joined Max Sacks International as a trainer and facilitator of their Track Selling System workshops. Two years ago he taught over 500 MAS 90™ and BusinessWorks™ Accounting Software resellers how to more effectively sell accounting software and professional engagements.

He is owner of an accounting software sales and consulting firm headquartered in Minnesota called Training & Selling Solutions. His company is a MAS 90 Chairman-level reseller and is ranked in the top one percent nationally of resellers for the Windows-based products his group sells and supports.

In addition to providing sales training for the software and accounting industries, he is also an Associate with Alexander, McKenzie and Pranger as a sales trainer working with retail banking services personnel.

Ron and his wife JoAnn are the parents of ten children (how's that for a prolific sales person?) and reside in the Twin Cities.
